A couple times I've said exercising is my therapy. Even, though I am not an athlete what so ever I do enjoy a good work out or a good run. What I never realized, and I do now that I am busy and using the computer all the time is that crafts are a huge part of my mental health also. Not only I like adding cute things to my house but now I know that I need to use my hands to do crafty, cute things. So, this weekend I took time to do something that I've been wanting to do. For some weird reason I do not like to have big pictures of people in my house. I have a paint with Einstein's face on it and that's enough to feel like I've been watched (See paint here). So I wanted to do some small picture holders to finally print some pictures of my family and friends to have around my house. I do want them to be part of my decor they just need to be small. Here is what you need to make them:
1. Pliers to cut and bend wire.
2. 5/8in Wooden cubes with holes
3. Scissors (If you are using the washi tape, to cut excess)
4. Tiny Clothespins
5. Acrylic Paint
7. 20 Gauge Gold Wire
The washi tape I ended up not using it because I liked the simple version with the paint instead. But, you can use the washi tape instead or use both!
Start by painting the wood cubes and the clothespins. I left some sides of the cube without painting because I wanted some natural wood showing. Then, insert the wire through the cubes and wrap one end of the wire on the long piece you left on the top of the cube. Cut excess wire if needed. Then, insert the other end of wire through the clothespin spring and wrap that end of the wire like you did in the bottom. Cut excess and you have your picture holder!
Try using it for post its or some cute notes also.
