So, I had planned going thrift shopping this last Sunday but.. I if you live in South Florida.. don't ever plan on doing this on a Sunday. You will most likely find 80% of the shops closed. Not happy about this. Well, my friend Jo and I were able to find a couple cute things in the 3 shops we went to. We parked our cars and went in to this little Chocolate shop, Jimmie's Chocolates, ti's so cute and filled with that awesome chocolate smell. I went before and left with a bag full of chocolates, this time I controlled myself. If you are in the area or if you ever come visit you should stop by. There is also a restaurant in the other side of the shop but it opens only 3 times a week and I've never been able to go... (hint for my boyfriend).
The first thrift shop we went I found this beautiful! chair.. It was $140 but the owner was willing to negotiate. If I had space to put it would be in my bedroom right now with a cute blanket and my kitty sleeping there... I did picture the whole thing. We saw a couple other things but the best part about this shop besides the chair... actually chairs, there were 2.. was that the old guy working in the shop gave us a pink rose to each one. It was very sweet.
In our way to the other thrift shops I saw this shop that makes signs and doors in metal.. they had beautiful things. This is one of the signs they had up.
I didn't see too many things in the other shops.. besides this heart..If you can't tell already.. well I love hearts in any shape, material, color.. this one needed some cleaning but it was very cute.
And, my last found was this little mug that I thought was very cute but I would do some TLC to it.
MY version..
Don't tell me a little pink and some other color wouldn't help the little mug. :)
Happy Earth Day by the way. I guess Thrift Shopping is also a way to help our beautiful earth?
I would love to hear where you go thrifting in So Fla... I live in Broward County and there are plenty of shops, but the inventory is so-so most of the time. It might be fun to make a trip to Miami for some good thrifting!

Hi Liz! I usually go to the shops in Dania Beach. There are some that have very nice things but in general they are not that awesome. This time the nice guy that gave us roses told us about a furniture thrift shop next to the Fort Lauderdale airport. So I want to check that out. Feel free to send me an e-mail if you want to plan a thrift shop day in Miami.
