LUCAS'S BABY SHOWER

It's that fun time in life when a lot of important events are happening to people around me. Some are getting married, others are having kids, changing jobs etc. Which is super fun for me because it allows me to use my crafty hands to help with all these events. A couple weeks ago we had my friend Adri's baby shower. She is having a boy (L U C A S). She didn't want the decoration to be blue or green but instead to have a neutral palette. My lucky friend has a lot of creative people around her and we all helped a little to make this baby shower something beautiful. I helped by making the invitations and doing all the hand written signs. The beautiful pictures were taken by Gabi (click on her name to go to her website).

WEDDING INVITATIONS DESIGNED FOR MY FRIEND

I had the opportunity to design the wedding invitations for one of my closest friends back in Colombia. This project was extremely fun because she gave me the freedom to design something without a lot of direction other than the colors we needed to use. And we know that is a fun project for any designer. 

I was able to design the save the dates (which I left in Colombia and couldn't photograph), the invitations, cocktail party cards, maps ,envelopes  and even an extra "participation" card as we call in Colombia, which is almost like an announcement card that you give to people that are not so close to the family but that you care for them to know that you are getting married. We printed everything in Colombia using a custom purple ink and a gold powder that looked almost like tiny tiny glitter. We were both really happy with the way everything came out. And, I am glad I was able to make this for her and her now husband that has also been my friend for many years now.

I SAID YES TO BEING HAPPY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE

It's been a little over a week since I got married to the love of my life. My best friend, the person that makes me happy every single day of my life. It has also been way too long since I shared anything here. And, this is definitely a post worth taking time for. A lot of the people that used to read my blog are my close friends and family so you should already know how I met Chris and how I fell in love with him. And, maybe for those that don't really know me it may not even be interesting to know how I did. But, I remember before dating Chris I used to see those couples that made me jealous. Jealous in a good way! In the best way, a way that actually inspired me to some day have a relationship similar to them. And, today I can truly say that I learned from those couples that I once looked up to. And for this reason I chose to share this amazing moment and part of my life here. Not because I want to be pretentious but only because after meeting Chris and spending every day of my life with him I believe love should be celebrated and shared with others because it can only be contagious! And nothing would be better for this world that we live in today than to spread love! 

I will definitely share the non-iphone pictures when we get them from the photographer and all the details of that happy day with my love :)

I'M BACK!

It's been almost a year since the last time I shared the things I like and create on this little space that for a while was my escape from many things going on in my life.. Work, relationships, and some of those other things life comes with. This past year came with lots of changes, all good (extremely good) changes. Things that also kept me busy and distracted from my passion to create, being crafty and design my own stuff. But, everything is a little more stable now and I think I can start working on more things I enjoy and that make me happy. I've also been more interested in learning calligraphy and creating fonts which has always been one of my favorite things to do. And, with that said I hope my blog helps me find that path for the things I want to do! I am sure I am not the only one who loves so many things at the same time that can't figure out what to start with and what to work on first. But, We have to start somewhere to figure these things out..
